It’s primarily a vector graphics program but is one of the new generation of cross-over products that handles photos and drawings with equal ease.”

The Mac version is still in very early stages, but at least they’re working on porting it. Xara is an awesome vector app which offers a great set of features and runs – hands down – so fast that Illustrator feels like it’s running on Mac OS X 10.0 all the time.
